Freedom in Christ defined in Galatians

Monday, June 21st, 2010

Jesus gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age [of Law!].1
This gospel is not something made up.2 We are no longer slaves but free people in Christ.3 The law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. This faith is no longer under the supervision of law.4

We were slaves to the basic principles of the world; So God sent His son that we might receive the full rights of sons – a divine inheritance [FREEDOM]5.

[The revelation of God and His promises’s] were inherited by Abraham’s son born of a promise.6 Now we, like Isaac, are children of promise [if we claim it by FAITH].7 For it is for freedom that Christ has set us free! Stand firm then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.8 The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.9 So do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature, rather, serve one another in love.10 So you are led by the Spirit and are not under law.
